Additionally, civilians who want to play can call the pro-shop and they can arrange a pass for you to access the base to play the golf course.
The course first opened for play in 1959.

With fours sets of tees, you can choose the one that matches your skill level. Although not a long course, it is challenging. The course has tight fairways, strategic landing areas, and well bunkered “postage stamp” greens. #'s 1-4 wind through Carolina pines tee to green.
The layout is somewhat unique in that you will encounter three par 3s, in a stretch of four holes, #'s 8,9, and 11. During that stretch, you will play the “risk/reward” 249-yard, par-4, 10th hole. Reachable from the tee for the longest of hitters, this short hole has many a golfer scratching their heads as they move on to hole eleven, asking, “Did I just make six?”
Just as 3 par-3s in 4 holes is unique, so too is finding 3 par-5's in the final holes, in this case, #'s 14 (487 yards), 15 (502 yards) and 18 (512-yards). #18 is guarded throughout by water, trees, OB, and environmentally protected hazards.
